Fay Fay was such a stunning puppy that when she was shown at 6 months old in Southern California several breeders came and told us they had all invited their friends to come to the shows and watch for her the next day because she was so lovely. 

Once when she was older and didn't place in the group a judge came up to me and said very indignantly - "Why that judge must not like Shih Tzu because that is the most beautiful example of the breed I have ever seen!" - a competitor and another breeder came up and kindly added that they agreed. Fay Fay used to bark at the judges when they approached her and once I put my hand on her neck to stop her and it came out as a gurgle. I think that judge thought she growled at them and he didn't place her. I asked her not to do that any more. If you asked Fay Fay anything - she would comply - she was very smart. If you asked her or showed her once then that would do it. 

Fay was very loving and trusting to a fault. She always adored her mother and puppies. 

She would always lay right up close to Wanda until the day she passed away. 

They both are together out in our cemetery near Beau. 

The late Peggy Hogg paid Fay this compliment at a national : "If pretty wins - she gets it."  

She placed at the national in a big class and won with big majors. Most of all she was a sweet hearted girl.
